Personalised follow-up : our priority
At ESTICE we care for each individual which is why we have decided to keep the number of students low (80-90 per class), giving each student the chance to develop their own personality and identity in a human-sized school. Students in the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes will be supported by highly qualified and experienced professionals. The coordinators of International Relations and Business Partnerships will also offer advice and assistance in matters relating to placements.
Our approach to teaching is in line with international educational philosophy that advocates pushing your own limits rather than competing with others. The word “solidarity” therefore makes perfect sense in the project we offer our students.
“The consequence of assessment practices focussed on performance, grading and comparison between pupils is a lower perception of their skills, and this may lead, for a number of people, to anxiety, which is detrimental to their motivation to learn (Covington, 1992).
“In such conditions, the pleasure of learning, creativity, imagination and audacity have no place.” (Viau, 2009)
“Several studies indicate that cooperation between pupils promotes a better working atmosphere than competition, and therefore more positive motivational dynamics.” (Good & Brophy, 2008 ; Brophy, 2004)
